Role & Responsibilities
As a Global Business Director you are responsible for the Electrification and Renewables business area. This includes responsibility of realizing E&R growth plan, subordinate staff, safety, health, environment, and budget responsibility. This business area is the fastest growing within Permascand with several exciting hydrogen projects and partners ongoing.
In this position, building and farming customer relationship in the area of Electrification and Renewables globally will be a great part of your responsibility. Other than that, you will also coach and manage a team of 3 direct reports, working in business development and sales. The Electrification & Renewables team is spread globally, from Canada, Germany to Sweden.
Coordinating and cooperating with different departments within the Permascand organization will also be part of your job. You will travel frequently to Permascand’s manufacturing facility in Ljungaverk, Sweden.
You will represent Permascand in dialogue with customers, partners and suppliers linked to customer order projects. You will call-off of external services according to cost or investment budget and Permascand authorization schedule.
Working independently is a main part of the role, but you will also be a part of the management team in the commercial unit at Permascand. You will work closely with operations in Sweden and will report directly to the Chief Commercial Officer in Sweden.
This position will be based in the central part of Europe, but frequent travel globally will be part of this position.
Qualifications & Characteristics
To be relevant for this position, we see that you have several years of experience working with business development within the energy industry and/or chemical industry. You have a proven track record of successful long-term client relationships. As a person you have a strategic mindset, but you are not afraid to be operational and get things done if needed. We also see that you have strong leadership skills, which for this position means that you are humble, professional, transparent in your dialogue and straight forward.
You also have:
- A master’s degree in engineering and/or business
- 5-7 years’ experience in energy industry and /or chemical industry
- Strong proven background in business development
- Experience in leading a team of direct reports
- Well-developed interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Flexible and agile to catch and follow new leads
- Strong understanding of project financing
- Excellent skills in English, both verbally and in writing
- Other languages such as German, French, Spanish is meritorious
